Legend has it that Naim Rouge (the Red Devil)
has visited Detroit throughout history, followed by
calamitous events.
Each year Detroit gathers to banish the demon for
the coming year! The first Le Marche du Nain
Rouge took place after Antoine Laumet de la
Mothe Cadillac, Detroit's founder crossed paths
with the demon.
In a Mardi Gras like parade revelers burn Le Nain
in effigy to insure a prosperous year.
